Weekly Update #1 - Soundtrack & Thoughts!


So, not much in the way of actual updates for the first week - I've recently started a new job, so I don't have much time right now to work on the code! However, I did think I would add some notes & thoughts in terms of game features to add next, as well as share with you a soundtrack demo my good friend made for me.

Every week, I will post the things that have been created for the game, as well as go into detail about the plans for the next week. So, as there wasn't much in the way of content for this week: I am intending to add two new features to the game over the course of the next week:

  1. Person Task Revamp - The current system for characters to choose what they do is messy and can be reworked. Next week I intend to create a clear mapping of tasks following the philosophy that the current task is determined by a priority system based on  both the person's role and personality and the observations that they can make about the world state.
  2. Soundtrack - For week 2, I will add a framework for simple sound effects based on what is being observed on screen. I will also add a class for sound effects to be played smoothly throughout the project based on what is happening.
