Weekly Update #3 - Logs & more

Not much added this week, but got to working on the exploration of the person's mind as the game progresses. I introduced a log that shows events happening to whichever person is selected, this will be very useful for mind mapping. Next week's goal will be specifically to introduce a system for observing the thoughts and feelings of the people - this "realm of experience" or mind map of a person will for the time being be entirely disconnected from the behaviour of the person. No matter what they feel, they will simply be stuck performing the simple behaviours that have been defined so far. However, I want to be able to observe in different individuals that their mind responds differently to the inputs they receive from that behaviour, so that when I connect their minds to their bodies they will show markedly different behaviours.

The idea behind the mind map for a person is still to be refined, but the general idea is as follows. A person has a randomly generated set of strengths associated with five personality pillars:
- Health, Physicality, Strength
- Wants, Possessions, Desires
- Social, Talkativeness, Loneliness
- Intellect, Knowledge, Skill
- Wisdom, Mental Fortitude, Grace

Each of these base scores are then sub divided into smaller skills within it, maybe even skill trees. But for now, that won't be the focus, as these skills will affect the behaviour of the person - I will first explore how the strengths in each pillar will define traits that determine who a person truly is. I will define a library of positive and negative traits in each pillar, which are randomly selected depending on the strength of a pillar. These traits will have triggers within them, and sort of be "attached" to a person, releasing positive or negative feedback on specific types of behaviour. Traits can also have unique elements that will cause people to have specific or unusual reactions to situations, increasing the immersion of the player into a world filled with real people.

I'm excited to continue working on this project this week, and I hope I find plenty of time to do so! Thanks for reading :)
